5th Annual Rogue Island Comedy Festival at Jane Pickens Theater

Rogue will showcase headliners Sean Patton (Comedy Central, CONAN), Corey Rodrigues (CONAN, truTV, Dry Bar Comedy), Alyssa Limperis (HBO's Last Week Tonight), and Mia Jackson (Comedy Central), as well as over fifty other nationally and locally-known comedians.

This year’s festival will also feature two live podcasts - ‘Two Less Lonely Girls’ with Rosebud Baker (Comedy Central) and Corinne Fisher (Guys We F%&#ed podcast), and popular local podcast ‘Wicked Funny’ with host Brian Beaudoin.

Yoga Flow at Creative Communities Collaborative 

A yoga class for those newer to yoga or those wanting a basic flow class. This class introduces foundational yoga postures, teaches you how to breath and helps you feel more comfortable in the yoga practice.

Although this class moves at a slower pace than the other vinyasa classes, expect to be challenged both mentally and physically.

Broadway Street Fair at Broadway Newport 

Last year more than 15,000 people took a stroll along Broadway, Newport’s historic Main Street and major artery into the city and celebrated the diversity that Newport is known for. 

The Street Fair will begin at Equality Park and extend all down into Washington Square.

The day will be filled with music, food, family activities, exhibiting artists & makers and local non-profits.

This is a rain or shine even

The fair goes from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Newport Columbus Day Parade at St. Joseph's Church 

Celebrating 25 years of Italian Culture and Heritage, this year's parade will step off at St. Joseph Church on Broadway at Noon and make its way up Memorial Boulevard to the Columbus Statute for closing ceremonies.

The parade begins at 12 p.m. and will end at 2 p.m.
