Adaptive Surfing Clinic Hosted by AmpSurf New England at Second Beach
The goal of the clinic is to encourage injured veterans, adults, and children living with disabilities to focus on their abilities through adaptive surfing therapy.
"Basically we open up 30 spots for any participants that want to join that have any kind of disability — whether they’re completely paralyzed, which is the most extreme case — to someone who has an invisible disability, like PTSD, which is very common. They can sign up — we’ve recently implemented a deposit but they get that back when they show up, and that helps smooth out our event so we can get it started right on time,” said AmpSurf’s Justin Speegle on LIVE.
