Providence College Names Four New Members to the Board of Trustees
Providence College announces the election of four new members to its Board of Trustees.

David Aldrich,’79, is the retired Board Chairman of Skyworks Solutions, a leading supplier of high-performance mobile communications solutions, a position he held since 2018. Prior to his retirement in 2021, he served as Skyworks’ Executive Chairman from 2016 to 2018 and became Chief Executive Officer in 2002 when the company was created via a merger between Alpha Industries and Conexant Systems’ wireless business. Before Skyworks, David served as President and CEO of Alpha Industries after joining as their Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Earlier in his career, he held senior management positions at Adams-Russell and M/A-COM. David is chairman of the board of Belden, a provider of end-to-end signal transmission solutions, a board member of Allegro MicroSystems, a global leader in sensing and power semiconductor technology, chairman of the board of indie Semiconductor, an automotive semiconductor and software company, and a board member of Mobix Labs Inc., a fabless semiconductor company. He also serves on the board of directors of various non-profit organizations, including Project Kompass, Inc. and Trinity Boston Connects. David holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from PC and an MBA from the University of Rhode Island.

Lisa Bonalle,’85, currently serves as CEO and Board Director of GDS Link; a global credit decisioning software business. Prior to GDS, Lisa was the Group CEO for Verisk Financial. She is active as a board member and mentor in several not-for-profit organizations focused on women’s leadership, including How Women Lead, Women in Consumer Finance, and Nerdy Girl Success. Lisa is an adjunct marketing professor at Iona University and is the Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Ursuline School. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Stephen Caldeira,’81, is President & CEO of the Household & Commercial Products Association (HCPA) where he works closely with their Board of Directors to set and execute the strategic priorities of the association. Prior to joining HCPA, Steve was President & CEO of the International Franchise Association. He has more than three decades of legislative, regulatory, political, media relations, public affairs, fundraising, corporate and not-for-profit trade association experience. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration and Foodservice Management from Johnson & Wales. Stephen recently announced he’ll be retiring at the end of July after 10 years of exceptional leadership.
Frank Richard,’70, is president and owner of Esten & Richard Agency, Inc., an insurance company, for over 40 years. He was past president of the Independent Insurance Agents of RI and served on the National Advisory Boards of Travelers Insurance and Hanover Insurance Group. He was also on the Boards of Northern RI YMCA, Visiting Nurses, Soccer RI, and Woonsocket (RI) Kiwanis Club. He currently serves on the Stadium Theatre Foundation Board of Directors. Frank served in the US Army Reserve for 11 years, attaining the rank of captain. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from PC and lives in Cumberland, Rhode Island, with his wife Kenna.
Founded in 1917, Providence College is the only college or university in the United States administered by the Dominican Friars. The Catholic liberal arts college has an undergraduate enrollment of approximately 4,500 students and 450 graduate students and offers degrees in over 60 academic majors.
