Artists Ball at Newport Art Museum
The Newport Art Museum will host its annual summer fundraiser, the Artists’ Ball, a tradition that dates back to 1927.
One of the most highly anticipated and lively cultural events of Newport’s summer season, the Art Museum’s festive Artists’ Ball attracts cultural and civic leaders, artists, collectors, supporters, and art-world notables.
The event begins at 6 p.m.

Newport Gulls vs Vermont at Cardines Field
The Newport Gulls are back at Cardines Field on Friday night when they host Vermont.
First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.

175th Anniversary Regatta at Newport Harbor
To celebrate the 175th anniversary of its founding in 1844, the New York Yacht Club will host a week-long regatta at Harbour Court.
Participation will be limited to members of the New York Yacht Club and the four invited yacht clubs (Royal Thames Yacht Club, Royal Yacht Squadron, St. Francis Yacht Club and Yacht Club Costa Smeralda) and the U.S. service academies entering yachts with an LOA of 30 feet or greater (IRC/ORC or equivalent as well as classics).
Racing will take place on Narragansett Bay and Rhode Island Sound.

Broadway Star Megan Hilty at The Breakers for Newport Music Festival
Megan Hilty, star of NBC’s Smash and Broadway’s Wicked and Annie Get Your Gun, will appear on the stage of The Breakers on Saturday, July 20 at 8:00 pm.
Hilty was recently featured in "Live From Lincoln Center Presents Stars in Concert", which aired on PBS on May 24.
She has guest-starred on Bones, The Closer, Project Runway, and The Good Wife and also co-starred in the feature film "Rules Don’t Apply" from director Warren Beatty.
Hear her sing excerpts from her starring roles in Wicked, Annie Get Your Gun, and 9 - 5 - The Musical, plus other favorite hits!

Newport International Polo Series at Newport Polo Grounds
Witness the excitement of one of the fastest ball sports in the world, played at thoroughbred racing speed when Team USA/Newport takes on challengers from around the world and major U.S. Cities in the Newport International Polo Series.
Matches every Saturday, June through September at 5 p.m. and 4 p.m. in September.
Bring a picnic & blanket to spread on the lawn or reserve centerfield Pavilion seats.

Newport International Tennis Hall of Fame Open
Each year, top ATP World Tour pros head to Newport to compete in the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships, the first stop of the summer swing for pro tennis in the United States.
Contested on the historic grass tennis courts of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, which have hosted all the legends of the sport since 1880, the tournament is the only event played on grass courts outside of Europe, and it offers the only opportunity to see professional men's tennis in the Northeast prior to the US Open.
