Friday the 13th Paranormal Investigation at Slater Mill

Join renowned New England paranormalist and Old Slater Mill interpreter Carl L. Johnson for a guided, 90-minute, after-dark investigation of the historic 1793 Old Slater Mill factory, the 1810 Wilkinson Mill waterwheel bay, and the 1758 Sylvanus Brown House.

The investigation begins at 8:30 p.m.

Providence Improv Festival at AS220

The 16th Annual Providence Improv Festival will be taking place at AS220 Black Box at 95 Empire St. and AS220 Main Stage, in downtown Providence on September 12-14. 

Audiences who attend this year’s offerings will enjoy favorite acts from previous Fests, as well as be treated to exciting new groups from across the continent.

Over the previous 15 years, New England has experienced a growing interest and passion for improvisation – exploring its application for entertainment, education, and professional training purposes.

Pops In The Park: Rhode Island Philharmonic at Slater Park

The RI Philharmonic Orchestra announces four Summer Pops concerts in various locations throughout Rhode Island. Resident Conductor Francisco Noya conducts the concerts, which are FREE and open to the public.

Providence WaterFire (Full Lighting)

A full WaterFire is a multisensory experience that has drawn hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city.

This series of bonfires, installed on the three rivers of downtown Providence, entices with aromatic wood smoke, flickering firelight, and enchanting music. 

The fires will be lit at sunset.

32nd Annual Apple Festival at Johnston Memorial Park

With over 100 vendors in Artisan Row, festival-goers will have the opportunity to shop at a variety of vendor booths offering everything from seasonal home décor to unique gift items.

The festival will be a one-stop-shop for holiday shopping.

There will be sausage & peppers, GottaQ BBQ, clam cakes and chowder, Poppy’s gourmet kettle corn & Poppy’s waffles, hot dogs, burgers, pizza homemade ice cream and of course the festival favorite fresh apple cider doughnuts.
