Annual Army-Navy Baseball Game at Cardines Field
The Naval War College will host its third annual Cardines Classic, World War I era baseball game between Army and Navy.
The game will be played by students from the Naval War College dressed in period era jerseys.
Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. and the first pitch is set for 5:30 p.m.

Newport Secret Garden Tour at Kingscote
This September, the annual Newport Secret Garden Tours opens its gates to a plethora of stunning gardens in historic Newport.
These private gardens are shared with the community to help raise funds for the Arts Education programs in the Island’s public schools.
Tours begin at 10 a.m.

History Space Program at Newport Historical Society
This summer the Newport Historical Society expands the popular History Space initiative with a series of costumed interpretation programs at the Wanton-Lyman-Hazard House, with expert historical interpreter Seán O’Brien.
In September O’Brien will discuss specific themes relating to colonial Newport while sharing details about early life in this historic seaport.

Newport International Polo Series at Newport Polo Grounds
Witness the excitement of one of the fastest ball sports in the world, played at thoroughbred racing speed when Team USA/Newport takes on challengers from around the world and major U.S. Cities in the Newport International Polo Series.
Entering its 28th season, audiences of several thousand attend the weekly contests, one of Newport’s most popular summer attractions, a Gilded Age tradition, open to the public.

Thinking of You at Imago Gallery in Warren
Rina Naik will present recent abstract landscape paintings that are “rooted in memories” of the New England scenery. Responding to a recent loss, these atmospheric paintings capture fleeting memories. As an artist with a deep interest in design, Naik is interested in “both the observed and the experiential.”
Naik has an MFA in Interior Design and a certificate in drawing and painting from RISD Continuing Education (RISD|CE); she teaches at RISD|CE and Endicott College.
