Live Bait: True Stories From Real People 11Th Anniversary Show at AS220

Eleven years of Live Bait. Eleven years of stories. Eleven years of sharing, listening, laughing and crying. Of being surprised, appalled and touched, sometimes all at the same time. Live Bait truly has become a Providence institution.

This July we will be celebrating this anniversary and the Day After Independence Day. So, with that in mind, our theme will be “Freedom!”

Resistance and Revolution at Roger Williams National Memorial

This July 5 the Center for Reconciliation will host dramatic costumed readings of two of our nation's most radical documents - the Declaration of Independence and Frederick Douglass' speech, "What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?".

Join us for an exploration and discussion of America's history of resistance and revolutionary ideas.

The event goes from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Bryant University’s fireworks display will begin at 9 p.m. on Friday, July 5.

The night will include a performance from the U.S. Navy Band beginning at 8 p.m.

Buck Meek (Of Big Thief) at Columbus Theater

The Columbus Cooperative proudly presents Buck Meek of Big Thief.

Buck Meek’s songs are for the lost dogs of honest mechanics, good guys and girls born into a life of crime, runaways, snow spirits, the ghosts of Central Park, unsung diving-board stars, the affection shared through gambling, and so on.

On the first Sunday of each month, join in for a great time and a few laughs at our monthly Drag Brunch. Performers will be Vilet Laboss, Jacqueline DiMera and LaDiva Jonz!

Brunch at Massimo features savory favorites like Pork Cheek Carbonara, Short Rib Hash and Pork Belly Grilled Cheese. Homemade sweets include Bombolinis, Briche French Toast, and Mixed Berry Bread Pudding.
