Festive Igloo Pop-Up at Gurney's 

Snag that perfect Instagram photo and cozy up in one of our heated igloos overlooking the Narragansett Bay.

Each igloo has its own theme, from Santa’s Workshop to a cozy Log Cabin, Roaring '20s, Harry Potter, Astrology and Après Ski, complete with its own design, activities and cocktail pairings.

Teens Silent Book Club at Newport Public Library

What happens when you remove the awful parts about book clubs (mandatory readings, mandatory discussions, mandatory mandatories) but keep all of the good things (food, books, people)?

You get Silent Book Club! SBC is a chance for teens to relax for an hour, read whatever they want, and enjoy a few snacks with Miss Christina and Miss Becky.

The book club begins at 3:30 p.m.

Free Guided Bird Walk at Norman Bird Sanctuary

Count up as many bird species as you can, from soaring red-tailed hawks to tiny hovering hummingbirds.

You'll learn how to identify common year-round residents and seasonal migrants.

Winter Exhibit at Imago Gallery

The “Winter Exhibit” will feature a wide array of media available, including painting, mixed media, drawing, photography, ceramics, furniture, and collage.

Take it home. Wrap it up. Know you are giving the best gift of all-art! Providence-born artist Shepard Fairey claims that “art has the ability to capture people’s imagination and make them think more is possible.” 

The exhibit is open from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
