Wow, Jimmy Kimmel, who is in no way funny as attested to by his terrible Television Ratings, made a statement on his Show that is really shocking. He showed a fake video of the First Lady, Melania, and our son, Barron, like they were actually sitting in his studio, listening to him speak, which they weren’t, and never would be. He then stated, “Our First Lady, Melania, is here. Look at Melania, so beautiful. Mrs. Trump, you have a glow like an expectant widow." A day later a lunatic tried entering the ballroom of the White House Correspondents Dinner, loaded up with a shotgun, handgun, and many knives. He was there for a very obvious and sinister reason. I appreciate that so many people are incensed by Kimmel’s despicable call to violence, and normally would not be responsive to anything that he said but, this is something far beyond the pale. Washington: Charges Elevated

Wall Street Journal reports:

Prosecutors have charged 31-year-old Cole Allen with three counts, including attempting to assassinate President Trump, unsealing a criminal complaint and affidavit against him.

Allen is suspected of firing shots Saturday outside the White House Correspondents’ dinner. He made his first appearance in federal court on Monday in Washington, D.C., wearing bright-blue jail scrubs. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche said authorities were still examining who shot a Secret Service officer wounded in the incident.

U.K.: Starmer pleads with MPs to save him

Sir Keir Starmer pleaded with Labour MPs on Monday night to back him in a Commons vote on the Mandelson vetting scandal as he scrambled to save his premiership.

MPs will vote on Tuesday on whether the Prime Minister should face an ethics investigation into his handling of the fiasco by the privileges committee, the same body that forced Boris Johnson’s resignation.

Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby, one of college football's top returning players, is checking into a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction, the school announced Monday.

Sorsby's decision to seek treatment, according to sources, came in the wake of the discovery of Sorsby making thousands of online bets on a variety of sports via a gambling app, which jeopardizes his eligibility with Texas Tech.

The NCAA is investigating Sorsby's gambling, according to sources, as the organization forbids athletes from betting on both college and pro sports.

Texas Tech said in a statement that the university "is committed to supporting Brendan through his recovery process and to ensure his long-term health and well-being."
