Russia: Giving Intelligence on U.S. to Iran

CNN reports:

Russia is providing Iran with intelligence about the locations and movements of American troops, ships and aircraft, according to multiple people familiar with US intelligence reporting on the issue, the first indication that Moscow has sought to get involved in the war.

Much of the intelligence Russia has shared with Iran has been imagery from Moscow’s sophisticated constellation of overhead satellites, one of the people said. It is not clear what Russia is getting in return for the assistance.

CNN has asked the Kremlin and the Russian embassy in Washington for comment.

It is also not clear whether any single Iranian attack can be linked to Russian targeting intelligence, which was first reported by the Washington Post. But several Iranian drones have hit locations where US troops have been in recent days. An Iranian drone struck a makeshift facility housing US troops in Kuwait on Sunday, killing six US service members, CNN has reported.

U.S: Trump Demands Unconditional Surrender

Guardian reports:

Donald Trump has said only Iran’s “unconditional surrender” will bring an end to the offensive launched seven days ago, as the US and Israel carried out some of the heaviest bombardments so far in the conflict.

“There will be no deal with Iran except UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform on Friday, when US strategic bombers were in action over Iran and intensive Israeli strikes in Lebanon forced more than 1 million people to flee their homes.

Israeli and US officials threatened further escalation as Iran retaliated with more attacks across a swathe of the Middle East.

Pete Hegseth, the US defence secretary, said US firepower was “about to surge dramatically”, while Eyal Zamir, the Israel Defense Forces chief of staff, said Israel was moving to a new phase of its offensive that would “further dismantle the regime and its military capabilities”.

We’ve also heard over the last few hours of other air raid warnings going off and incursions from missiles down in the south near Beersheba, which is in the Negev Desert, and way up in the north of Israel as well.

What the strategy here is obviously from the Iranian is to try and stretch Israel’s air defence systems as much as possible. Keep it off balance, keep it on its toes, and try to deplete those interceptors as much as they can.

And also to demonstrate, I think, to the world that even after a week of battering, essentially, from the United States and Israeli warplanes, ships and cruise missiles, that Iran still has the capacity to launch these kinds of attacks, not just at Israel but also across the wider area.

Ukraine: Zelensky Visits Front as Ukraine and Russia Complete POW Swap

France 24 reports:

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he had visited the eastern front line on Friday as Ukraine and Russia completed a two-day prisoner-of-war swap, exchanging 500 soldiers each.

Zelensky gave awards to troops defending positions near Druzhkivka and Kostiantynivka, cities in the eastern Donetsk region where Russia has concentrated its forces. Moscow was preparing for a spring offensive there, he said.

“It is important not only from the point of view of defending our state on the battlefield, but it is also very important geopolitically,” Zelensky told soldiers from the 28th Separate Mechanised Brigade in a video posted on his Telegram channel.

U.S.: Kalshi and Polymarket Are Each Eyeing Roughly $20 Billion Valuations

Kalshi and Polymarket, the two dominant prediction-market companies, have been racing to sign up users. Now both platforms are talking to investors about raising money at around the same eye-popping valuation: $20 billion.

Kalshi and Polymarket have each recently had discussions with potential backers about fundraising rounds that would value them near that figure, according to people familiar with the matter. Both were last valued at around half that late last year.

Both companies’ discussions are in the early stages and may not lead to deals. There are also no guarantees that either will land on that valuation, especially amid rising scrutiny of their businesses.
