Come one, come all to Newport Vineyards 4th Annual Halloween CarnEvil.
The regions’ premier costume party with an evening full performers, DJ beats, dancing and PRIZES for best costume! Cash bar.

The John Slocum Jr. Memorial Lecture With Christopher Buckley at Salve Regina
Christopher Buckley is renowned as a novelist, essayist, critic, magazine editor, and memoirist. His books have been translated into sixteen foreign languages. He worked as a merchant seaman and White House speechwriter.
He has written for a variety of magazines and newspapers and has lectured in over 70 cities around the world.
His awards include the Thurber Prize for American Humor and the Washington Irving Medal for Literary Excellence.
The lecture goes from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Newport Music Festival Featuring Neave Trio at Newport Art Museum
Newport Music Festival presents the Neave Trio in a special performance at the Newport Art Museum as part of the 2019/20 Chamber Music Series.
Neave has been seen in performances at Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival, Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

"Boeing Boeing" at Newport Playhouse
Newport Playhouse and Cabaret Restaurant continues its 2019 season with the comedy “Boeing Boeing” by Marc Camoletti.
The play centers on a bachelor juggling three stewardess girlfriends - until all three ladies land on his doorstep at the same time.
Bernard (played on alternate dates by Austin Venditelli and Joshua Fogerty) has everything in perfect order in his flat in Paris.
With the help of his housekeeper Berthe (Leslie Zelle), he juggles juggling incoming flight schedules and visits from his three flight attendants fiancees - Gloria (Kathleen Kent), Gabriella (Annette LaBonté) and Gretchen (Genevra Stewart) - and no one is aware of the other's existence.
Saturday's show begins at 6 p.m.

Fall Into Fitness 5K Race/Walk at Newport County YMCA
Start your Halloween week off right! Costumes for all are encouraged, including children, walkers (and their pets), and runners.
The half-mile fun run for kids 12 and under begins at 8:30 a.m.
Walkers will set off at 8:45 a.m. on the 3.1-mile course.
The 5K race starts at 9 a.m.
