Newport Pride Yoga Class at Third Beach
Shelley Dungan will be helping kick off Pride Weekend in Newport with a yoga class on the beach.
The class is a suggested $10 donation, and all proceeds will go to The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.

Grow With Google at Newport Public Library
Grow with Google is bringing free digital skills workshops and one-on-one coaching to Rhode Island.
"We’re teaming up with local libraries across the state to offer these trainings so that Rhode Islanders have the opportunity to learn digital skills to grow their careers or businesses," says Google in their press release.

Gravestone Cleaning Community Event at Newport Common Burying Ground
You are invited to help clean gravestones in Newport's Common Burying Ground located on Farewell Street.
Meet at 10 am in the north end of the site near the God's Little Acre sign.
The city will provide the materials and demonstrate how to clean the stones.
Cleaning stones can be messy so please dress accordingly.
The event goes from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Clean Up with Rimta at Kings Park Beach
Join together at Kings Park overlooking Newport Harbor and help to beautify the shoreline and improve ecosystem services in partnership with RIMTAF and Clean Ocean Access.
All equipment and supplies are provided, just aim to show up, help out, and feel good about it.
The event goes from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Newport 10 Miler at Fort Adams
The 10-mile course follows the most beautiful route through Newport, including Ocean Drive, Bellevue Avenue, and Ruggles Avenue.
Run past beautiful beaches, famous gilded-age mansions, and beautiful private homes, culminating in a finish inside historic Fort Adams.
Collect your medal, then celebrate your accomplishment with our food vendors or with a beverage in our post-race beer garden.

Museum Art Excursion To The Hill-Stead Museum At Newport Art Museum
Inspired by Dearest of Geniuses: A Life of Theodate Pope Riddle by Sandra Katz, the May book selection for the Museum’s Read/Eat/Chat book group, we’re going on a Museum Art Excursion day trip.
The day will begin with a docent-led tour of the Hill-Stead Museum, followed by a self-guided tour of the grounds, gardens and walking paths. Special guest Sandra Katz, the author of Dearest of Geniuses will join us for a talk about Theodate Pope Riddle’s work and career, followed by a fresh catered box lunch on the Hill-Stead’s outdoor patio.
The event goes from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
