NEW: Two People Stabbed in Warwick
A man and a woman were stabbed in Warwick on Monday afternoon.
Police say they have a suspect in custody.
About Incident
Shortly before 3:30 PM on Monday, officers responded to a call for a disturbance on Ottawa Avenue.
Police say when they arrived, they found two victims suffering from stab wounds and said they "immediately rendered life-saving aid to the victims while awaiting the arrival of Warwick Fire personnel."
The female victim sustained a stab wound to the abdomen, and the male victim sustained a stab wound to the neck.
According to police, the suspect was still at the scene. He has been identified as 39-year-old Caleb Brown, and was taken into custody without incident.
Investigation Ongoing
Police say their preliminary investigation "indicates the incident stems from an ongoing domestic situation."
The investigation remains active, say police, with "multiple crime scenes being processed and witnesses being interviewed."
Criminal charges are expected but are pending further investigation at this time.
