Beatrice M. Ellinwood, of Warwick, Dies at 85

Beatrice M. Ellinwood, age 85, died the morning of May 31, 2021, at her home in Warwick with her family by her side.

Born in Hamilton Ohio, Beatrice was the daughter to the late Bernard and Ethel Winterbottom Beermann. Attending local schools, Beatrice was a graduate of Lockwood High School, Class of 1954.

Working for Child Inc. and retiring in 1999, Beatrice was never one to be idle. She was very active in All Saints Episcopal Church, as a Communicant, and serving on the Altar Guild, and the Parish Vestry Committee. When not serving in the church Beatrice would be giving her time as a leader with the Girl Scouts. Beatrice enjoyed traveling and was known as an avid shopper.

Other than her parents, Beatrice was predeceased by her brother James Beermann. She is survived by her husband Norman, and their three children, Elaine Marsella (Julio) of Richford, NY, Cheryl Johnson (Larry) of Beaver, PA, and Norman K. Ellinwood of Warwick. Beatrice is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Heather, Amy, Dan, Tim, Katelyn, and Kristina and her two adored great-grandchildren, Mason and Theodore.

The family has chosen to remember her life privately at this time.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick.
