Merida Mercedes, of Warwick, Passes at 60

Merida Mercedes, 60, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Merida was a daughter of Francisca (Correrá) Mercedes and the late Andres Mercedes.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Tracy Brito of Warwick, and Sofia Rodriguez of Warwick.

Merida was the devoted grandmother of Sebastian Rodriguez and Leonardo Rodriguez.  She was the dear sister of Meris Mercedes of Providence.

Her funeral will be held from the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday, June 1st, at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Catholic Burial at St. Michael’s Church, 239 Oxford Street, Providence at 11 a.m. 

Visiting hours are on Monday, May 31st, from 5-8 p.m.

Burial will take place immediately after Mass in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
