Man Shot in Providence Overnight

A man was shot in Providence overnight. 

Providence Police were flagged down shortly after 9 P.M. on Tuesday for a male that was shot, who was located inside the residence of 176 Camden Avenue on the second floor.

Upon arrival, police observed an adult male shot in the abdominal area.

Police then responded outside and observed a small amount of blood on the sidewalk at the intersection of Camden Ave and Dome Street. 

Providence rescue responded and transported the man to Rhode Island Hospital.

The investigation has been turned over to detectives.

Police have not released any information at this time.
