As it gets too chilly outside, the market moves indoors Nov- Mid May to the newly renovated Newport Vineyard and Winery. Now in its 22nd season our market has 20 regular vendors, guest artisans and live music every week. Pick up your groceries and head inside for wine tasting

28th Fakes & Forgeries at Spring Bull Studio & Gallery

The February exhibit has grown to be a much-anticipated area event for both artists and the art appreciators. The artists study and learn techniques used by the old and modern masters while the public has a chance to enjoy and own an “almost masterpiece” without traveling to Boston or New York.

A guest judge selects the “Best in Show” and several “Honorable Mentions” awards from the works submitted.

The exhibit goes from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Coastalskye, A Collaboration Between Two Rhode Island Galleries

‘CoastalSkye’ is a collaboration between two provocative Rhode Island galleries. Skye Gallery and Coastal Contemporary Gallery are focused on exhibiting highly skilled regional, national and international talents.

Owners and directors Shari Weschler Rubeck and Jonny Skye chose five artists from each gallery stable to participate in this unique fusion of ten strong creatives. Shari and Jonny see the advantages of building a bridge to bring new experiences and contemporary discussions to Providence, Newport and beyond. The artworks selected are charged with color, culture, narrative, humor, wit, and energy. 

The event goes from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Ayurvedic Bodywork Specialist at SAMA

Students will learn the foundations of medical Ayurveda, how to access and classify pain, find specific pain remedies, specific applications of oils, poultices, thermo and hydrotherapy, healing muds/pastes, marma pressure points, herbal potions and the anointing of other therapeutic substances on the body.

Students will learn how to harmonize bodywork modalities with the seasons, doshic diet and routine protocols, using neutral, safe and innocuous oils, energy medicine, intuitive awakening of the soul’s innate healing gifts, therapeutic applications and pastes as well as be able to demonstrate proficiency using hands-on techniques.

The event goes from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Newport Seal Watch Tour With Save the Bay

Save The Bay seal tours and nature cruises prove that summer isn’t the only time to enjoy the Bay.

Join them aboard one of our education vessels as we motor through historic Newport Harbor and take in 360º views of seals resting on Citing Rock off of Rose Island and the Newport Bridge.

Save The Bay provides binoculars, and expert guides offer an educational view of our winter marine visitors and the habitat they love.
