Evening With The Raptors at Norman Bird Sanctuary
Spend a cozy evening by the fire in Mabel’s Studio meeting Norman Bird Sanctuary’s resident Red-tailed Hawk and Barred Owl up close while enjoying wine, beer, and dessert. Proceeds will directly support the care of these non-releasable wild birds.
This special program is offered only once a year, and is a perfect after-dinner outing.

Newport Restaurant Week
Don't miss out on the final days of Newport Restaurant Week.
Newport Restaurant Week takes place both in the spring and in the fall with more than 50 participating restaurants extraordinary two-course prix fixe lunches for $20 and three-course prix fixe dinners for $35, and a three-course premier prix fixe dinner for $50.

Newport Daffodil Days Festival
Gather round to celebrate as the muskets are fired and the official ribbon of daffodils is cut at the historic Clarke Cooke House as the festival blooms forth on Bannister’s Wharf. Live music, a stilt walker, face painter, Miss Rhode Island, lemonade and lemon bars – oh daffy my.

Newport Rhode Races at Easton's Beach
Join in the City-by-the-Sea for this marathon, half marathon, and 5k.
Newport Rhode Races kicks off Daffodil Days with the races starting from Easton’s Beach where nearly 100,000 daffodils will be in bloom. (We’ll call it Dash through the Daffodils!)
The Marathon will start at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2019, at Easton’s Beach in Newport
The race begins at 7:30 a.m.

The Great American Folk Song Revival at Newport Public Library
Caroline Doctorow and The Ballad Makers will be playing folk music at the Newport Public Library.

Newport Seal Watch Tour at Save the Bay
Join Save the Bay aboard one of their education vessels as we motor through historic Newport Harbor and take in 360º views of seals resting on Citing Rock off of Rose Island and the Newport Bridge.
Save The Bay provides binoculars, and expert guides offer an educational view of our winter marine visitors and the habitat they love.

Daffy Doggie Paw-Rade at Queen Ann Square
Dress your dog in daffy attire (then have Fido dress you!) and head either to Wag Nation (92 William St.) by 1pm, or to Bannisters Wharf by 1:30pm.
The paw-rade then steps off at 2pm from Bannisters, marching to historic Queen Anne Square where the daffiest dressed dog and daffiest dressed human(s) will receive awards and prizes.
Afterwards, stay to have your doggy learn tricks such as “take a bow,” “spin” and “give paw” by Eye to Eye Dog Training.
The event goes from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Newport String Quartet In Concert With The Apple Hill String Quartet at Ochre Court
The Newport String Quartet and the acclaimed Apple Hill String Quartet play works by Andrea Tarrodi, Mike Kelley, and Dmitri Shostakovich.

Annual Tour de Jonquilles Bike Ride at Touro Park
Meet at Touro Park (Bellevue Ave. between Mill and Pelham) at 9:30 a.m.
Length will be about five miles, with an option to continue riding around Ocean Drive after checking out over 20,000 daffodils blooming at Ballard Park. Bring a camera, bike lock, and wear yellow.
A special prize will be given to the daffiest outfit and free “Daffy Duck Calls” to all those wearing their Daffy Pin.
The event begins at 9:30 a.m.
