Shortly after 6 PM on Monday, the Providence Police were called to the mall for assistance.

According to officers, mall security had detained three individuals they said were causing a disturbance.

Police say one of the individuals - later identified as Dwayne Armado, age 20 - was wearing a cross-body satchel. When police told Armado they were going to pat him down to search for weapons, they said he attempted to flee the security room.

Police say following a struggle, they handcuffed Armado; they said they located a ghost gun in the satchel with ammunition in the chamber, as well as a magazine. Officers then placed the items in their possession.

Armado was arrested and is facing obstruction and gun charges.

Another of the individuals detained, Marqiest Darosa, age 20, had an outstanding warrant on robbery charges, say police.

Police say they also arrested Jordan Holbrok, age 20, who they say was in possession of a taser and is facing charges for having a weapon other than a gun in violation of Rhode Island law.
