Come one, come all to Newport Vineyards 3rd Annual Halloween CarnEvil.
The regions’ premier costume party with an evening full of Circus Dynamics jugglers, TEN31 performers, beats by DJ Jay Buff and more.

Verdant Vibes at Granoff Center for the Creative Arts Studio 1
Local new music collective Verdant Vibes performs multimedia works for instruments and electronics by Kirsten Volness+Alexander Dupuis, Elizabeth A. Baker, plus world premieres by Kristina Warren (featuring ExoRosie, a self-contained wearable analog synth) and Carolina Heredia, with video by Katina Bitsicas and movement by Gisela Creus. Meet the composers and artists after the show.

Far to Near at the Casino Theatre
Far to Near will feature choreography by Island Moving Company Artistic Director Miki Ohlsen. The production will also celebrate the world premiere of new work by Simona De Tullio Director of the Breathing Art Company based in Bari, Italy. De Tullio’s work internationally has taken her to Germany, Spain, Hungary, and Albania with a mission to give young talent an opportunity to explore the art of dance.

"Mandy" Starring at Nicholas Cage at Columbus Theatre
In the Pacific Northwest in 1983, outsiders Red Miller (Nicolas Cage) and Mandy Bloom (Andrea Riseborough) lead a loving and peaceful existence. When their pine-scented haven is savagely destroyed by a cult led by the sadistic Jeremiah Sand, Red is catapulted into a phantasmagoric journey filled with bloody vengeance and laced with deadly fire.

H.P. Lovecraft Walking Tour
Providence native and cult horror writer H.P. Lovecraft will be the subject of a special walking tour and film series during the annual Flickers' Vortex Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror Film Festival (Vortex), October 20-27, 2018.
The life and work of Providence's best-known fantasy and horror author, Howard Phillips Lovecraft, will provide the backdrop for the tour, which will be led by the Rhode Island Historical Society.
