Arc Iris Album Release Show at Columbus Theatre
The Rhode Island band Arc Iris is set to release their newest album "Icon of Ego."
To help launch it, they will put on an album release show at Columbus Theatre on Friday night.

Beervana Fest 2018 at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet
Join Rhode Island’s ultimate craft beer festival at the annual Beervana taking place at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. Tickets are $55.00 in advance through Eventbrite, and includes 1 tasting glass, 2 oz pours of more than 250 plus world-class beers, a festival guide and a bottle of water.
Stop into the educational seminars taking place on site to learn more about the world of craft beer.

Glocester Scarecrow Festival at Pavilion at Kent Field
Locally created scarecrows lined along Putnam Pike on October 13, 2018, and remain on display until October 27.
Over $600 in prizes given out for displayed scarecrows in 5 categories with awards given out at 1 pm on October 13.
Prizes also given out for best human scarecrow, adult and child.
The event goes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

An Evening with Michael Palin at Columbus Theatre
Michael Palin (Monty Python) presents his new work - ticket includes signed copy of the book.
After the presentation, Michael will sit with Russell Potter, professor at Rhode Island College, for a moderated discussion and Q&A. Michael will add dedications to the signed books after the event if people wish.

Race aboard a 12 Meter America’s Cup contender.
Aboard the 12 Meter racing yachts, professional and friendly crew will coach those interested in a “hands on” sailing experience, but participation is not required.

Making Strides Walk: Providence at Kennedy Plaza
The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk raises awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer. The event is a noncompetitive walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer.
The events raise money to fund innovative research, provide free information and support, and to help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it's most treatable. From the opening ceremony to the post-walk entertainment, the event is a celebration of survivors and opportunity to remember loved-ones lost.
