'Twas The Night Before Christmas" at The Nazarian Center for Performing Arts in Providence
Providence Ballet Theatre's production of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas returns! Inspired by Clement Clarke Moore's classic poem, the stage is transformed with visions of Sugar Plums, swirling snow, and a magical appearance by jolly St. Nick.
A cast of professional dancers and local children create a fun-filled holiday performance that is perfect for all ages.
The show begins at 4 p.m.

Horse-Eyed Men, Ian O'Neil, Penn Sultan, Youthree at Columbus Theater
The show is hosted by The Horse-Eyed Men and will feature Ian O’Neil, Penn Sultan, and YouThree.
There will also be over 40 artists selling their works, and a silent auction.
All proceeds will go to benefit Maggie Siegel, an artist in Providence who is battling brain cancer.
The show begins at 7 p.m.

Fall/Winter is the perfect time to blow glass...Cold outside and hot inside! Try making your own ornament, drinking glass, pint glass, pumpkin, bowl or paperweight.
Attendees will pick their own glass colors, roll their molten glass into the color of their choice, shape the glass object with special glass blowing tools and blow air into your glass.

Discover the magic of "Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The Musical.
Max the Dog narrates as the mean and scheming Grinch, whose heart is “two sizes too small,” decides to steal Christmas away from the Whos, an endlessly cheerful bunch, bursting with holiday spirit.

Christmas at Blithewold Mansion
Using archival materials for inspiration, Blithewold’s decorators volunteer their time and talents to develop a new theme each Christmas that explores the interests of the Van Wickle family during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This year's theme "Life in the Garden" explores all the "life" that lives and is lived in the gardens at Blithewold and at your own home!

URI Basketball vs Western Kentucky at the Ryan Center
The University of Rhode Island Rams men’s basketball team returns to action on Saturday afternoon when they host Western Kentucky at the Ryan Center on URI’s campus.
The Rams are currently 6-3 on the season with three games remaining before conference play begins.
Game time is set for 2 p.m.

Last Ditch Effort Holiday Bash at Shaidzon Beer Company in West Kingston
Shaidzon Beer Company in West Kingston will host their “Last Ditch Effort Holiday Bash” this weekend.
Saturday’s lineup of vendors will include BSquared and Kalai once again along with Amelia Wilson (paintings), Justin Lucas (paintings), Kate Monaghan (handmade jewelry) and Bob Curley (author of 100 Things to Do in Rhode Island Before You Die).
The event begins a 10 a.m. on Saturday.

Just in Time Arts Sale at Roger Williams Park Botanical Center
For one day only, our greenhouses will be transformed into a magical wonderland filled with extremely talented local artisans who will be selling their wares for all the last minute shoppers out there.
We invite guests to make a day of it, and explore our beautiful gardens and greenhouses while shopping.
When the sun goes down the fun doesn't stop, because we will be staying open late for our Grand Illumination.

12th Annual West Side Caroling 2019 at Loie Fuller’s in Providence
It's Caroling for the masses. Spread goodwill and joy during one of the coldest times of the year. Annually, the Sunday before Christmas.
Meet at Loie Fuller's from 5-6 p.m. for snacks & socializing and head out at 6 p.m. sharp to bring holiday cheer to the neighborhood. Ending at 8 p.m. with warm drinks, milk & cookies at Sin bakery and cafe (1413 Westminster) just a block from our starting point.

Blackstone Valley Polar Express at Blackstone Valley Tourism Council
Inspired by Chris Van Allsburg's Christmas classic, this family favorite becomes reality during a 3-hour event that includes a 90-minute excursion on a real-life train with a reading of the classic children’s story, sing-a-longs, games, hot chocolate served in a collectible souvenir mug, delicious cookies, games, and a special visit from Santa where he personally delivers the first gift of Christmas to every child.
