As GoLocal was first to report, video captured a motorcycle driving on Atwells Avenue through the Federal Hill St. Joseph’s Feast just before midnight on Saturday, June 6.

The motorcyclist can be seen being hit with a trash can by a man and then crashing into a dining area on Atwells Avenue.

Motorcycle Charges

As GoLocal reported on Monday, June 8, the motorcyclist involved in the incident was uninsured, had no motorcycle license, and had an expired registration.

Michael Carnevale, age 19, of Johnston, sustained minor injuries to his arms, abdomen, and lower body when he fell off his bike after being hit.

Court records show that he is also facing traffic tribunal charges for violations including “operating left of center,” “due care by driver,” and “care in starting from stop.”

In addition, Carnevale is being charged with violating “conditions requiring reduced speed” and “reasonable and prudent speed.”
