Man Shot in Providence Overnight - Hospitalized in Critical Condition
A man was shot multiple times in Providence overnight.
The incident occurred off of Hartford Avenue.
About Shooting
Providence Police said they were called to Whelan Road for a report of a shooting shortly after 1 AM on Sunday.
Police said that when they arrived, they found the victim - a male in his 40s - lying on the ground and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
According to police, shell casings were found at the scene.
The victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital; he is currently in critical condition.
Detectives are currently investigating.
