Ida Lewis Distance Race

Starting and finishing off historic Ida Lewis Yacht Club, the Ida Lewis Distance Race takes competitors past Castle Hill Light and Beavertail Light  in the East Passage of Narragansett Bay, with Block Island, Montauk Point, Martha’s Vineyard and Buzzards Tower the other waypoints of the two possible courses.

Summer 16 Showcase 

Anchor Bend Glassworks unveils their newest work at the Newport Gallery. The gallery is open rom 10 a..m.  to 5 p.m. 

These conversation pieces show the pride the artists take in their home state of Rhode Island, while also portraying their own unique spin on glassblowing. Creating exceptional glass for 13 years, Michael Richardson, Justin Tarducci, and Timothy Underwood continue to honor and expand the art of glassblowing and give back to the Newport community.

Return to Camelot - The Kennedy Wedding Remembered

Along with its mansions and America's Cup yachting history, Newport is known as the resort city where Jaqueline Bouvier married then Senator John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Spring St. in Newport.
