Elvis Costello Rocked the Newport Folk Festival Sunday

The Newport Folk Festival wrapped up Sunday with another memorable day of music. As has become the practice at Newport, there was a wide range of sounds including gospel, funky jazz, and rock and roll. As the definition of “folk” continues to expand, the Newport Festival is firmly at the center of the new folk universe. GoLocal Music Critic Ken Abrams and Mojo Photography’s Rick Farrell were there Sunday and bring you these highlights. Folk on!
