Award Winning Improv Comedy with The Bit Players
Get over to Firehouse Theater at 4 Equality Park Place in Newport to watch the award winning improv comedy of The Bit Players.
The show begins at 8 p.m. and is BYOB.

Newport Gulls vs Ocean State
The Newport Gulls return to Cardines Field on Friday night for a game against Ocean State.
The Gulls are in a battle for the division title and then a championship after that.
First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.

Black Ships Festival
The Festival is a family-oriented event, incorporating events for all ages. The Festival provides an opportunity to see, sample, and experience authentic Japanese arts, cuisine, performances, and traditions. Signature events include Martial Arts, a Tea Ceremony, the Taiko Drum Festival, Sushi & Sake Sail, Black Ships Gala and Japanese workshops and demonstrations.

Hall of Fame Tennis Championships
Some of the top ATP World Tour pros come to Newport for the 2016 Hall of Fame Tennis Championships. The tournament is the only event played on grass courts.

Summer 16 Showcase
Anchor Bend Glassworks unveils their newest work at the Newport Gallery. The gallery is open rom 10 a..m. to 5 p.m.
These conversation pieces show the pride the artists take in their home state of Rhode Island, while also portraying their own unique spin on glassblowing. Creating exceptional glass for 13 years, Michael Richardson, Justin Tarducci, and Timothy Underwood continue to honor and expand the art of glassblowing and give back to the Newport community.

Return to Camelot - The Kennedy Wedding Remembered
Along with its mansions and America's Cup yachting history, Newport is known as the resort city where Jaqueline Bouvier married then Senator John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church on Spring St. in Newport.
Re-live that special day while watching vintage film clips and enjoying a live performance of music and song from their wedding ceremony and reception at Hammersmith Farm, Jackie's childhood summer home in Newport.
