"We had the ball in Kris's hands, that's where we wanted the ball in his hands. He went to the basket and we all rushed to the glass and I seen it and just tipped it in," Ben Bentil said after the game.

After the game, Ed Cooley was asked about not calling a time out in that situation.

"You already got the ball in the persons hands that you wanted it in, we talked about that. We said 'hey, regardless if they score or miss, they are going to foul. Get it in quick and drive it to the basket, drive it to the basket and everybody rush to the glass, you got to play till the final buzzer. In those situations there, when you got a veteran guard like that, why call time out? I think you can over coach in that situation," Cooley said.

URI head coach Dan Hurley reflects on the final play.

"Obviously Kris Dunn made a big time move off the dribble, lost the defender, put us in a rotation. Jarvis {Garrett} made a good effort to get the block out there but Bentil ended up over powering him and tipping it in," said Rams head coach Dan Hurley.

The Friars were out rebounded 17-7 on the offensive glass, the game winner being there 7th offensive rebound.
