Ben Bentil

Ben Bentil came off the bench and was very productive. The 6'8" Bentil posted 18 points, six rebounds and one blocked shot.

What was even more impressive was that he went two for three from behind the three-point arc.

If Bentil can do anything close to this on a consistent basis for the Friars he will be a huge factor off the bench for Providence.

0 Rebounds?

Carson Desrosiers has been playing pretty well for the Friars. In this game, he had six points, two assists, three blocks and two steals. He is forcing the defense to adjust their play calling when he is on the floor.

However, Desrosiers had 0 rebounds in the game tonight. It didn't hurt them in this one but going forward he is going to need to contribute.

A 7 footer not grabbing one rebound in a game does not work.

LaDontae Henton

Senior LaDontae Henton led the Friars in this game with 22 points, knocking down three of four shots from beyond the arc.

This is the second straight game where Henton has led the Friars in scoring and in the game he didn't lead them, he was second behind Tyler Harris.

Until the freshmen get adjusted, the Friars vets are going to have to lead the wayand henton is doing that so far this season.

Kris Dunn

A great sign for PC in this game was the play of Kris Dunn. He was tremendous, falling just three rebounds shy of a triple double.

Dunn had 12 points, 14 assists and seven rebounds in the game and looked for his shot a bit more then he did in the previous two games, going 4 of 7 from the field and 1 of 2 from beyond the arc.

Kris Dunn has improved in every game so far this season after looking shaky in the first one. PC needs Dunn this season if they want to repeat so this is a very good sign.

Best game, so far

With two tough games upcoming at Mohegan Sun this weekend, the Friars were looking for a good final tune up and in this game they got it.

Granted, they are only three games into the season but this was by far their best, most complete, showing. They built up a big lead and never let up, the offense looked like it was clicking and so did the defense at times.

Good sign for the Friars. This weekend will be a great early season test
