Dunn’s Double-Double Leads Friars Past Hurricanes, 76-62 in Brooklyn

The Providence College Friars (10-3) defeated the (9-3) Miami Hurricanes 76-62 on Monday night in Brooklyn. Since losing to Brown, the Friars have now won four straight games to get to the ten win mark on the season.

Miami's Sheldon McClellan knocked down a jumper with one second left in the first half to send both teams into the locker room tied at 33. However, the Friars came out and opened the second half with an 8-0 run, sparked by a Ben Bentil three-pointer, to go up 41-33 and take control of the game.

Henton Scores, Dunn Dominates
The Friars were led in scoring by LaDontae Henton who netted 25 points and grabbed five rebounds. But, it was Kris Dunn who controlled the game right from the get go. Dunn racked up another double-double with 15 points and 13 assists, knocking down six of his eight shots from the field.
Angel Rodriguez led Miami with 19 points while Sheldon McClellan followed up with 17 points in the loss.

The Friars return to action on New Years Eve when they host Creighton in the first Big East game of the year and a rematch of last years Big East Championship. Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
