URI Basketball Falls to Richmond, 3rd Loss in a Row

The up-and-down season for the University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team is on another down.
The Rams lost to the University of Richmond Wednesday night at the Ryan Center 85-77.

It was the Rams' third loss in a row.
Richmond did not have a field goal in the last 3:57 seconds of the game, which allowed the game to look closer.
The Spiders outshot the Rams from the field, hitting 55% — the Rams shot 46%.
URI led at the half 42-40
The loss dropped URI to 11-15 on the season and 5-8 in the Atlantic 10.
Richmond improves to 19-7 and 11-2 in the A-10.
David Fuchs led the Rams with 23 points and 12 rebounds.
Jordan King led the Spiders with 25 points.
