With 7:51 to go, it was a one-point game after Davidson's Bailey Reed layup trimmed Rhody's lead to 60-59. Kortright converted an old-fashioned three-point play on the next possession to push the lead back to four.
Davidson kept it close, but Rhode Island answered every time. A Tyson Brown layup extended the lead to six at 67-61. From there, it remained at least a four-point lead for the Rams. Kortright iced the game with two free throws to make it 75-67 with 49 seconds to go, helping Rhody win its second straight conference game.
