A bar on Federal Hill closed early Saturday morning after police were called to break up a fight - and discovered the establishment was over capacity.

Police responded to Twelve 21 Restaurant and Lounge at 248 Atwells Avenue for a report of a large public disturbance; multiple people were arrested.

It marks the latest public safety response required on Federal Hill after a motorcycle rider had a trash can thrown at him during the feast celebration earlier this month.

About Incident

Police said that upon arriving at Twelve 21 shortly after 1 AM on Saturday, they began dispersing people from the area.

Officers said they then saw people fighting in the adjacent parking lot; police said that they arrested Sanders Zahdarri and Jaden Powell.

According to police, the Sergeant with the License Bureau then arrived and observed the bar to be over capacity.

Police say the owner of Twelve 21 agreed and admitted that he had not counted patrons; the bar then voluntarily closed.

Multiple police units from across the city were called in to disperse the crowd, including the Task Force.

Zahdarri and Powell are being charged with disorderly conduct.
