Man Arrested After Brandishing Weapon Outside Church Parking Lot in Providence

A man was arrested after reportedly brandishing a weapon in Providence on Saturday.
Police said they received a report shortly before 8 PM of a man in a vehicle pointing a gun.
The suspect had allegedly flashed the weapon outside the "parking lot of a church" in the area of Chalkstone and River Avenues, according to the caller.

The driver — later identified as Antonio Ramirez Diaz, age 60 — was arrested; a gun was found in the car, say police, who seized the weapon.
Ramirez Diaz is now facing multiple charges.
