Major Drug Bust in Providence — $1.1M Seized Along With Cocaine, Heroin, Fentanyl, Guns & Ammunition

A suspect has been arrested on a dozen charges in a major drug investigation in the City of Providence.

According to police, over a million dollars, along with drugs, guns, and ammunition was located and seized.

GoLocal has learned that Jose Parra Reyes, age 58, was arraigned in District Court on Wednesday, following a police bust and Reyes’ apprehension on Tuesday.

About Raid -- and Seizure

Shortly after 7 AM Tuesday morning, Providence Police along with the DEA agents entered a property on Winthrop Street, in the Mount Pleasant section of the city. 

According to police, Reyes was on the premises, arrested, and transported to Central Station. 

Police say that multiple guns, magazines, and ammunition were located and seized at the scene.

In total, over 8,000 grams of fentanyl, 1,200 grams of heroin, and 1,400 grams of cocaine were located and seized according to police. 

$1,168,971 in cash was located and seized at the property as well. 

Reyes, who is being represented by attorney Artin Coloian, was arraigned in District Court Tuesday morning on a dozen firearm and drug felony charges.
