...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 7
AM EST TUESDAY...
* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations
between 1 and 2 feet. Winds gusting as high as 70 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of eastern, northeastern, and southeastern
Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
* WHEN...From 4 PM this afternoon to 7 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow. The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages.
Whiteout conditions are expected and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning and evening commutes. Very strong winds could cause extensive tree damage.

Snow, mainly after 10 pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Areas of blowing snow after 4 am. Low around 27. Blustery, with a northeast wind 11 to 16 mph increasing to 18 to 23 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 44 mph. The chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 6 to 10 inches possible.
Monday
Snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Areas of blowing snow before 2 pm. High near 32. Windy, with a north wind 23 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. The chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 10 to 14 inches possible.
Monday Night
Snow likely, mainly before 10 pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 20. Northwest wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 36 mph. The chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch is possible.
