Kid Congo at Aurora

The best free show in a long time happens Monday May 23 at Aurora when the downtown Providence venue welcomes Kid Congo and the Pink Monkey Birds. Kid Congo Powers, known for his work with The Gun Club and The Cramps “returns to the psychedelic jungle with a stripped down, no frills set of volcanic songs.” Even better, two of the area’s best bands, Atlantic Thrills and Cannibal Ramblers, start things off. Prepare to be blown away. Music starts at 9PM. (Photo: Martina Fornace)
