Puscifer Plays The Vets Saturday
It’s a busy spring weekend on the local music scene with too many shows to list. We’ve selected several this week, featuring artists who each got their start in a different decade. See if you guess when they began their careers and then get out and catch some live music this weekend all previewed below in our slide show “5 Live Music Musts.”

Puscifer at The Vets
Puscifer, a post-industrial alternative act that is part band, part performance art brings their “Money $hot” tour to The Vets tomorrow. The band is known to incorporate video and theatrical elements in live shows. "This is a multi-media performance unlike anything you’ve ever witnessed. There are those who know, and there are those who will know soon enough," explains lead singer and founder Maynard James Keenan. Tickets are still available here for the 7:30 show.

Huey Lewis at Twin River
Huey Lewis and the News were one of the biggest selling acts of the 1980’s and early 90’s with 19 top ten hits, including “Power of Love” from the Back to the Future soundtrack. They continue to make great music and released Soulsville in 2010. That album featured Soul classics like “Respect Yourself” and “Cry to Me” made famous on the legendary Stax record label. Only a few tickets remain for tonight’s show at the Twin River Events Center. Show starts at 8PM.

Gordon Lightfoot at PPAC
Gorden Lightfoot, one of Canada’s greatest recording artists, is known for hits like “Sundown,” “Early Morning Rain,” and the epic “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.” He’s penned songs and influenced countless artists including Ian and Sylvia, Marty Robbins and Peter, Paul and Mary. Sunday night, he’ll be stopping at PPAC on his “Legend Lives On” tour. Show starts at 7:30, tickets still available here starting at $38.50.

Buddy Guy at Lupo's
Who doesn’t love Buddy Guy? He’s one of greatest guitar players of all time and is said to have taught Jimi Hendrix a thing or two. He’s fresh off a 2016 Grammy award for Best Blues Album, Born to Play Guitar. He turns 80 this summer, but his live shows still rock with the fury of Hendrix. He’ll be at Lupo’s Sunday night at 8PM – along with teen guitar sensation and Massachusetts resident Quinn Sullivan. Tickets available here starting at $42.50..

Magic Man at Fete
Providence natives Alex Caplow and Sam Lee formed alternative rock band Magic Man in 2010. Since then, they’ve gone on to critical acclaim and in 2014 released their first major studio album Before The Waves. They're playing an all ages show with fellow alt-rockers Australia's Griswolds and Panama Wedding tomorrow night in the ballroom at Fete. Tickets are $18 in advance, $20 at the door. Doors at 7PM.
