Manhattan Short Film Festival at Jamestown Arts Center
With short films selected from 1,615 entries from 75 countries, the Manhattan Short Film Festival announces 10 finalists from USA, Italy, Latvia, New Zealand, Georgia, Spain, Switzerland, Syria and the United Kingdom.
The final 10 short films will be shown to a global audience of over 100,000 in over 250 venues across six continents
The festival runs from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Land, Sea, Sky Exhibit at ArtProv Gallery
The exhibit features works by Karen Rand Anderson, Jeanne Tangney, Michelle Courier, Nick Paciorek, Jana Matusz, Nina Weiss, and Ewa Romaszewicz.

URI vs Brown Football at Brown Stadium
The Brown and URI football programs meet on Saturday night at Brown Stadium for the annual Governor's Cup game.
Brown is 1-1 on the season, while URI enters with a 1-3 record.
Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Gloria Gemma Flames of Hope Celebration
This year's Gloria Gemma Flames of Hope celebration is introducing a new event titled "The Taste of Hope."
The event will feature local restaurants, wineries, breweries as well as national and international wineries.
The Taste of Hope will take place on from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Station Park in Providence.

Maria Muldaur at Courthouse Center for the Arts
Muldaur has specialized in tribute albums which include 2002's "Animal Crackers in My Soup (The Songs of Shirley Temple)", 2003's "A Woman Alone with the Blues (Remembering Peggy Lee)" and 2006's "Heart of Mine: Love Songs of Bob Dylan". Maria Muldaur released her latest album "Yes We Can!" in July of 2008.

Breakfast With the Elephants at Roger Williams Park Zoo
Start by dining outside with a breakfast buffet at the Serengeti Market Café. The buffet includes baked pastries, fresh fruit, fluffy scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, breakfast potatoes, orange juice, cranberry juice, coffee, and water.
After breakfast, join a zookeeper that cares for the animals to learn about elephant diets, care, training, and more

TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark discussion and connection in a small group.
This year's themes are "Past, Present, and Future," and are designed to talk about community history and identity amidst a rapidly changing social and political landscape.
