Riverdance - The 20th Anniversary World Tour at PPAC
Riverdance is bringing its 20th Anniversary World Tour to the Providence Performing Arts Center this weekend.
Drawing on Irish traditions, the combined talents of the performers propel Irish dancing and music into the present day, capturing the imagination of audiences across all ages and cultures in an innovative and exciting blend of dance, music, and song.
It is national bike month and there is no better way to celebrate than to attend Bike Fest.
The festival will take place in the Matthewson Street Parking lot in Providence from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The festival will feature live entertainment, BMX Stunt Riders; an expo area of bicycles and related gear, information and resources about riding in the state, safety and repair demonstrations, food vendors and more.
Bring a kite to Watson Farm and enjoy a day of family fun. Watch a professional kite flyer fly three kites at the same time. Hike out to scenic fields where you can launch your own kite or just watch others enjoy this old-fashioned pastime. Follow the self-guided tour of the farm trails down to Narragansett Bay and much more.

Calling old country music loving fans! Join the Sons of Liberty team as they host a night of live country music featuring Rhode Island’s very own, The Red Pennys.

The Red Pennys will be in the distillery’s tasting room beginning at 6 p.m. They will play a combination of old country music along with a series of roadhouse rhythms.
Sons of Liberty’s well-known whiskeys, draft beers, and craft cocktails will be on hand all night long.

The Lippitt House Museum has opened a new exhibit that highlights Victorian food.
The exhibit, The Art of Dining: A Taste of Providence’s Golden Age, opened on May 5 and explores the social customs of the Victorian era dining etiquette.
The exhibit will also explore how food and drink were integrated into Victorian life.
