Fireworks will take place following the PawSox games this weekend.

Fourth of July weekend in Rhode Island and there are plenty of ways to celebrate, including events for all ages.  

Things to do include Steve Smith and the Nakeds at the Bristol Fourth of July Concert Series, the PawSox playing at McCoy with fireworks to follow the game and much more.

Newport band Silverteeth is fresh off the release of their self titled albumand will take their act to the Colubmbus Theatre on Friday night.

Nashville recording country artist Mickey Lamantia will be in the tasting room from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. singing some of his original country songs as well as some of the best from some of country music’s finest.

See how food and drink were integrated into the rituals of Victorian life. 

The museum offers hourly guided tours, self-guided tours and hands-on activities in the Lippitt Lab for visitors of all ages.

PawSox vs Scranton Wilkes-Barre at McCoy 

The Pawtucket Red Sox are home this weekend to host the Scranton Wilkes-Barre Railriders at McCoy Stadium. 

The PawSox are currently 37-39 on the season and in fourth place int he divison. 

First pitch is set for 6:15 p.m. with fireworks to follow.

Steve Smith & the Nakeds at Bristol 4th of July Concert Series 

Steve Smith and the Nakeds will play at the Bristol 4th of July Concert Series on Saturday, July 1 at 7 p.m. 

The band has been together for over 40 years, touring throughout the U.S. and Canada. 

They have been featured on television, appearing on MTV’s video countdown program “The Basement Tapes”, and the title track for their CD,” I’m Huge” gained notoriety by being included on the Fox TV season 6 Family Guy DVD box set.

Newport International Polo Series - Independence Cup 

The Red States will take on the Blue States for the Independence Cup in a 6 chukker match. 

“We'll be starting our holiday celebration with a good old fashioned American duel,” explained Dan Keating, Newport captain and founder of the Polo Series.

The match will run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Heart of a Tree at ArtProv Gallery 

ArtProv Gallery's newest exhibit, “Heart of a Tree,” is group show of paintings, sculptures, fiber art and wood pieces that celebrate the essence of trees.

The main artists exhibiting are Paula Martiesian, Karen Rand Anderson and Mary Jane Andreozzi, all RISD alum. Additional pieces will be shown in the gallery by Alyssa Coffin, Philip Gruppuso, Felicia Megginson, Nick Paciorek, Anthony Salemme, and Ken Steinkamp.

Jazz Revelations: Blue Clue Quartet Celebrates Chet Baker

The Blue Clue Quartet brings the west coast sound of Chet Baker back to Providence.

Joining Manuel Morales on trumpet will be Clay Nordhill for harmony and killing solos, while Evan Magno on bass and James Nordhill on drums lay down a solid rhythm.
