61st Annual Newport Saint Patrick's Day Parade

Get the St. Patrick's Day celebrations started with the Newport parade. 

The parade kicks off from the Newport City Hall and runs through Washington Square, down Thames Street, and ends at St. Augustine's Church. Parade will be held rain or shine.

Parents and children can join storytellers for the ongoing story time events with talented storytellers.

New England Saltwater Fishing Show at RI Convention Center

Get ready for fishing season by attending the New England Saltwater Fishing Show at the Rhode Island Convention Center. 

The fishing show features tackle, rods, reels, lures, electronics, charter guides, boats, motors, kayaks, coolers, clothing and everything else you need for the season. 

Admission is $10 and Saturday’s hours are from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Brainweek RI at Brown University 

Award-winning author, TED Talk presenter, and University of Southern California Gould School of Law Professor Elyn Saks will deliver the event’s keynote address. 

Saks is an expert in mental health law and an advocate for those with mental illness. She herself lives with schizophrenia.

The event is FREE and begins at 2 p.m.
