Head to Newport Vineyards for a night of laughter and great wine as comedian Jeremy Furtado welcomes Emily Ruskowski, special guest Mike Holmesand, and headliner Orlando Baxter.

A Christmas Carol at Trinity Rep
It is December and it is time to get into the holiday spirit by seeing A Christmas Carol.
Ebenezer Scrooge, a greedy and sour businessman, is well known for his lack of Christmas cheer. "Bah humbug," he says.
However, when three ghosts pay him a visit, Scrooge is given the chance to examine his life.

The Providence College Friars and URI Rams will meet for the 129th time at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
The Friars have won six straight games over URI and seven of the last eight. The Rams will be looking to snap that streak.

12th Annual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest at Artists' Exchange
Artists Exchange in Cranston will host their 12th annual Gingerbread House Decorating contest from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.

Bowen's Wharf 46th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
The Christmas season begins in Newport with the annual Christmas tree lighting beginning at 4:30 p.m.
The fun begins with Frosty the Snowman followed by the Mayor lighting the tree at 6 p.m. and then the anticipated arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus.
