Extraordinary Women Of The East Bay: An Exhibition Of Images, Artifacts And Biographies at Linden Place
Visitors of all ages are invited to Linden Place Mansion this March and the Edward King House in April to view a special exhibition that recognizes and celebrates sixty women who have made a difference in their communities - Barrington, Bristol, Jamestown, Little Compton, Middletown, Newport, Portsmouth, Tiverton, and Warren.
Sixteen local historical and preservation societies, museums, and libraries have contributed to the exhibit.

Damn The Torpedos: Tom Perry Tribute at Greenwich Odeum
Rich Kubicz, who plays the role of Tom Petty in the show, has been playing guitar and singing since his early teens. By 2007, so many people had told him that he looked and sounded like Tom Petty that he decided to put together Damn The Torpedoes as a tribute to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.

RI Music Legends Concert at Stadium Theatre
Each iconic group will play a set of their hits including John Cafferty & the Beaver Brown Band’s “On the Darkside,” Roomful of Blues’ ”Boogie Woogie Country Girl” and Steve Smith & the Nakeds’ “I’m Huge (And the Babes Go Wild).”

Brown Basketball vs Cornell
The Brown Bears men's basketball team are right in the thick of the Ivy League Tournament race as they come into the weekend having won three straight games.
The Bears are 5-5 in conference and 17-9 overall.

James Taylor at Dunkin' Donuts Center
Music legend James Taylor will be at the Dunkin' Donuts Center on Saturday night.
Inducted into both the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the world-renowned artist has sold more than 100 million albums since he was first signed by The Beatles to their Apple Records label, won multiple Grammy Awards, and has earned 40 gold, platinum, or multi-platinum awards.
His Greatest Hits album alone sold more than 10 million copies.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

School of Rock at PPAC
Based on the film of the same name, School of Rock—The Musical tells the story of wannabe rock star Dewey Finn, who poses as a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school.
When he discovers his students’ musical talents, he enlists his fifth-graders to form a rock group and conquer the Battle of the Bands.

Firstworks Presents: Some Favored Nook at First Unitarian Church
A new chamber opera from Rhode Island composer Eric Nathan based on the incredible 24-year correspondence between poet Emily Dickinson and essayist, abolitionist, women’s rights advocate, and Colonel of the first black regiment in the Civil War, Thomas Wentworth Higginson.
Some Favored Nook places Dickinson’s writings in the context of the Civil War and focuses on her private struggle as a female poet in a patriarchal society.
