Bryant Opens NEC Play by Playing Host to Central Connecticut on Saturday

The Bryant Bulldogs (1-2) open NEC play on Saturday when they host (1-2) Central Connecticut at 1 p.m. The game will be televised on ESPN3.
This will be the ninth meeting all-time between the two teams. Central Connecticut hold a 5-3 series advantage after a 35-33 win last season.
Prior to that, Bryant had won three straight games against Central Connecticut.

The Blue Devils carry one of the best running back combinations in the conference, featuring Cameron Nash and Brenden Lytton. Combined, they average 133 rushing yards per game and six rushing touchdowns so far this year.
At the quarterback position, Jacob Dolegala is in the midst of his second season under center, leading Central Connecticut to an average of 202 pass yards per game. Dolegala has completed 59 of 96 passes so far this season for a total of 603 yards and three touchdowns.
On defense, Central Connecticut is led by Randall Leguerre, who leads the conference with 31 tackles. Overall, Central Connecticut's defense allows 38 points per game and 428 total yards per game.
Bryant
The Bulldogs are coming off a loss to in-state rival Brown in which they blew a 21-0 lead and ended up losing 35-28.
Offensively, Bryant is led by quarterback Dalton Easton who has 60 of his 108 passing attempts for 866 yards, and eight touchdowns and six interceptions.
Receiver Taylor Barthelette is Bryant's leader with 21 catches for 366 yards and five touchdowns.
The Bryant offense averages 411 yards and 30 points per game.
Defensively, Bryant is led by senior Patrick Kenney who has an average 6 tackles per game for a total of 18 on the season.
The Bryant defense has a total of 5 sacks, with Thomas Costigan leading the way with 2 sacks for 14 yards and one forced fumble, but only four total takeaways on the season.
Overall, the Bryant defense gives up an average of 27 points and 31 total yards per game.
