School is back in session across the state, but it is Labor Day weekend and there are plenty of events to go around. 

This weekend’s events include the Rhythm and Roots Festival in Charlestown, Disney on Ice at the Dunkin' Donuts Center and much more.

he has played venues such as Radio City Music Hall, Shakespeare’s Globe, the O2, London and Sydney Opera house

Two difficult, single people, Phyllis and Bradley, both trying to heal from their respective disappointing relationships, get their luggage mixed up at the airport. After a very disagreeable first encounter, the two decide to help each other get over their heartaches

Waterfire 

Waterfire is the premiere event in Providence and if you haven't gotten to one yet during the summer or fall season, now is the time to plan.

Waterfire is a great night out with different vendors, music and other entertainment lining the city streets while the river is lit up by the fire. For a really romantic and fun night, hop on a gondola ride.

Waterfire begins at 6:41 p.m.

Tour The Stephen Hopkins House 

Head into Providence and take a tour of the Stephen Hopkins House located on Hopkins Street. 

The Stephen Hopkins House was the place of business and home of a Signer of the Declaration of Independence, his family, and their slaves, for over four decades. It was visited twice by George Washington.

Tours run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m

The exhibit showcases new works from the Southern New England Artist Community.

Each artist has their own unique vision and medium.
