URI Men’s Basketball Lands One and Loses One in the Portal

The University of Rhode Island men’s basketball team, to date, has been very quiet as it comes to the transfer portal this year.
Now, the Rams have landed point guard Dylan Williamson from Towson. He was named to the All-Coastal Athletic Association (CAA) third team this season.
Williamson had been the main facilitator this season, averaging 3.4 assists per game.

He tied his career high at home on Jan. 31 against Hampton, scoring 29 points and adding 7 assists with 0 turnovers.
In the regular season finale against Stony Brook, he once again set a new career mark with a new season high on the road with 28 points and a new season high for second-half scoring with 25.
Ram Entering the Portal
Damone King, a redshirt freshman for URI, has entered the transfer portal. He averaged just 2.3 PPG this past year for the Rams.
