This ends Rhode Island’s record-breaking season of 28 wins.

The Rams were in the game early, but an Alabama run in the latter part of the first half was decisive. Bama led 31-23 at halftime.

Shooting was a disaster in the opening half for the Rams - they shot just 22.6% from the field. And 15% from behind the 3-point line.

In the third quarter, the Rams cut the lead to 4 points a couple of times, but the Crimson Tide pulled away.  Bama led 53-35 at the end of the third.

Alabama was simply too much. Crimson star Jessica Timmons scored 21 points. The Rams were led by Palmire Mbu and Ines Debroise, who each had 11 points.
