Gantt is entering the NCAA transfer portalProvidence College sophomore Greg Gantt is transferring.
Greg Gantt retweeted on Saturday, “Providence sophomore Greg Gantt Jr. has entered the transfer portal, a source told @Stockrisers. Prospect with major upside at 6’8, also was rated a Top-100 prospect in high school.”
He attended Trinity Christian High in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he averaged 14.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 18 games. Played for Team Felton in AAU where he was the leading scorer and rebounder. He was a big recruit for the Friars.
Rated as a 4-star recruit by ESPN.com and 247 Sports and he was ranked No. 66 overall and No. 14 Small Forward by ESPN.com. He was named valedictorian of his class.
For PC this year he started seven games and played in all 26. His athleticism allowed him to play multiple positions.
He averaged 4.0 points per game and 3.1 rebounds.
