This initial GoLocal Films documentary uniquely explore Rhode Island's most powerful politician. 

Titled, “The King of Rhode Island - Nick Mattiello in Lockdown," the feature is the first in a three-part series focused on the rise and now paralysis of Speaker of the House Nick Mattiello.

It includes never heard before interviews and photos that capture the early years of Mattiello, long before his rise to power.

In 2014, the late political scientist Jay Goodman told Politifact that the Speaker of the House in Rhode Island is more powerful than the sitting Governor, but now due to global pandemic, a pending trial of one of Mattiello’s former political consultants, and a pending grand jury — Mattiello is in political “lockdown.”
